All vendors, staff, and volunteers, whether at the Market site ,meetings, or functions must behave

professionally and foster community and cooperation to promote the Market to the community

in the best light possible. Note that this professionalism is expected in all verbal, written and

displayed communications as well on social media or other online activities whether on a

business or personal account.

The Wasaga Beach Farmers' Market has a legacy of providing a safe, caring

environment for its vendors, staff, volunteers and members of the public. The Board of Directors

will ensure this legacy

By participarting in the Wasaga Beach Farmers' Market, all vendors, staff and volunteers are expected to always:

7. Conduct themselves in a manner that is in the best tradition of the Wasaga Beach Farmers'

Market, which reflects positively on our public image, and which fully supports our mission.

8. Avoid interfering with other vendors or entertainers throughout the duration of the Market.

Vendors, staff, volunteers and members of the public are asked to cooperate and participate in

maintaining a positive environment by treating all individuals with respect and dignity by adhering to the following: 1. Threatening, abusive, discriminatory, or harassing language or behavior towards a vendor, staff, volunteer or member of the public connected to the Wasaga Beach Farmers Market is prohibited and where it may occur is to be reported immediately to a member of the Wasaga Beach Farmers Market acting Manager or Board of Directors; 2. Behavior that may result in a violent act towards a vendor ,staff, volunteer or member of the public will be addressed by the Wasaga Beach Farmers Market accordingly; 3. Willful, deliberate or reckless, damage to Wasaga Beach Farmers Market and / or vendor property, Market site property, or theft of property may result in prosecution. Violation of these rules by any person may result in recovery of costs, suspension from the Wasaga Beach Farmers Market services,/ facilities and possible prosecution. Definitions

Farmer/producer

Someone who has the cost of planting a crop or raising an animal for the intent of income. May make/bake/can/ from their own produce for added value sales. May also sell their own meat processed by qualified means that meet health regulations. Food is usually prepared in a home kitchen; however, it still must meet regulated standards. A Food Handlers certificate is preferred.

Secondary producer

Grows own produce to bake/can products usually in a home kitchen. May require supplementing with locally purchased produce to bake/can. A Food Handlers certificate is preferred.

Artisan/Crafter

Someone who buys local produce/goods, or imports goods to 100%make/bake/can/blend for the purpose of sale. If it involves food, a commercial kitchen and a Food Handler certificate are preferred and will be given preference. Body care products will need to have a CNF form.

Food vendors

Sales of food for immediate consumption. The prepared food is packaged and kept at proper temperatures as per Health Regulations. A food handler certificate is preferred and will be given preference.

Resale

Purchasing a product/produce and reselling at a profit, the same way it was purchased. IE: You buy peaches in Niagara and come to our market to resell them. This requires special permission and must be applied for to show transparency.

Full-Time Vendor

Plans to be there every weekend and misses no more than 4 markets.

Part-time Vendor

Plans to miss more than 4 markets throughout the season or wants to attend only the occasional market.
